On Sunday August 29, 1982 the first meeting of the ostomates of Bendigo and District was held. This meeting was to pave the way for the formation  of the Bendigo Association which operated from different locations within the Bendigo  Hospital complex for a period of approximately 10 years. 

 With  a bequest left by one of our former members the Bendigo Association's  new rooms became reality. Our new rooms were opened  by the then Mayor of Bendigo Barry Ackerman on July 26, 1997. 

 The Bendigo Association is situated in central  Victoria at 43 to 45 Kinross Street Bendigo and caters for  all needs of all Ostomates. We currently operate three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 2pm and all orders for appliances should be in by the first day of the month. Outside of ordinary operating hours there is a recorded message  for emergencies on phone 54417520 . Orders can be collected from the rooms or can be posted out. Double orders attract double postage. Current postage rates being $10 Victoria and Interstate $12 per standard parcel. All postal orders to the Secretary must include completed order form and relevant postage. Please complete all postal orders fully. If the postage fee is not included with order all orders will be held until postage is received.

 Our stomal therapist is available on the second Tuesday of the month and is preferable if an appointment is made prior to consultation. Stomal therapists  may print the Application For Membership form  for the Association;  the Health Insurance Commission's, Stoma Appliance Authority form; request for supplies form; additional stoma supplies form; information sheet and the location map of where to find the Bendigo and District Ostomy Association Incorporated direct from this WEB site.

Currently our membership fee is $60. This includes the National Administration Fee.
